What is the first thing you do when you wake up?

I take my thyroid meds, check my phone (messages first), and then time-hop. I like to look at pictures/videos/memories from years prior, get up, brush my teeth, and do Wordle and Connections while I heat up bottles for both kids and empty the dishwasher. Then, I get both kids up.

Have you ever felt genuine fulfillment? When?

Anytime I am productive, I feel fulfilled. After the birth of my children, I was the most fulfilled I have ever been, but daily, if I am able to get both kids up, fed, dressed, off to school, then come back home, work a full day, and get a workout in.

What is your most repetitive, negative thought?

Body image after having kids and not feeling as confident in my appearance as I did prior to having children. More recently, work has been a repetitive negative thought; I have flexibility which keeps me going in this role but I don’t love what I do and I feel there are happier things out there for me.

What is your most repetitive, positive thought?

I am a wonderful mom - the best mom actually - and I have two beautiful healthy children who make me so happy and a husband who loves me and supports me. I truly, also believe everything happens for a reason.

What is one thing that surprised you about adulthood?

How expensive everything is, haha…literally. My husband and I make a very good combined income and we don’t live outrageously (besides being in a city), but it is wild how much you need to make to just live comfortably, without worry.

What are three things you want to put every woman onto?

1. Rosé on a sunny day

2. The 'No Makeup, Makeup' look:

          e.l.f. Cosmetics Brow Lift

          Lumify Eye Drops

          Your Favorite Mascara

3. Going for daily walks.

Rank the following from most to least important:

money, food, sex, love, and laughter (feel free to explain or don’t).

laughter, love, money, sex, food

I love laughing; the feeling of being happy and laughing until you cry is such a high for me. I also love love. My friends always joked my passwords to my phone or anything were love; I love hard and I give my family, friendships, relationships all my love and devotion. Random peoples’ breakups and love engulf me. I feel it, (haha)

How has your relationship with your parents/ guardians changed in adulthood?

I came form a divorced family. I am thankful for the relationship that my parents had when raising us, even though they are divorced they made it very amicable and friendly which I so appreciate because it allowed us to grow up feeling normal and that we were all loved very deeply by both. I did realize as I got older (last year or so) that my father still has a lot of resentment towards my mom and maybe that my whole childhood was a cover regarding the divorce. I also realize how selfish parents can be (father). My mom is my biggest fan and is truly one of my best friends. She somehow manages to just do it all and be there for everyone, I appreciate her so much and love her deeply. I depend on her the least of my siblings because she knows I can manage, but I feel as though our relationship deepens with age and I love that for us. I know my father loves me with all his heart, but his priorities are within his own personal life, and I have accepted who he is and what our relationship is.

When do you feel most like yourself?

When I am with my family, especially my children, I can be silly and goofy, and there’s no judgment; I am the greatest thing in the world to them.

Also on the beach alone with a book (and a drink, lets be real).

What is the best compliment someone has ever given you?

I was the best mom, and if they ever had children, they would hope to be as good as a mom as I am.

How do you feel about falling in love?

It is exciting and terrifying at the same time. I love the feeling of falling in love and being in love, but the heartbreak and hurt that are possible are terrifying; it is all part of the process.

What is one thing you’re sick of hearing?

Ozempic, haha, but seriously

How often do you feel alone?

Recently, often, and I am NEVER actually physically alone.

What is one thing you hope everyone experiences in their lifetime?

True solid REAL friendships/relationships, whether that is with family or friends.

What is one thing you hope no one has to experience in their lifetime?

Losing a child.

What is the best decision you’ve ever made?

Having kids.

When do you feel most at ease?

At the beach or around water, on a run & listening to music (usually country).

Also after both kids are asleep for the night.

What does having a successful life mean to you?

Happiness and confidence in your decisions whether that be for life, career, family etc. of course financial success helps as well.

How often do you think about your body?

Everyday, probably too often. I am always in tune with my body whether it be physically or just I how I overall feel at the moment.

When do you ask for help?

When it is too late, or I am already overwhelmed or frustrated, or I just don’t… I try to do too much / everything on my own.

What is something you feel strongly about?

Do what works best for you, even if that means being a little selfish, everyone is different, and what works for someone else may not be the best for you...AND THAT IS OK!

BONUS: Tell me something good.

It is a beautiful sunny day, get outside :)!
