What is something you look forward to every day?
I look forward to coffee, playing with my 2 dogs, and then playing keyboard warrior on Nextdoor for 20 minutes. I write, cook, shop, and am a multi-medium artist.
Describe how your year thus far is going, using only three words:
Frightening, enlightening, and empowering.
What is the most valuable thing you have earned?
I earned a closer family dynamic.
What is the most precious thing you have lost?
I lost respect for people whom I thought I never would.
Fill in the blank: if loving _____ is wrong, I don’t want to be right.
My children, the way I do.
Is there a moment in your life where preparation has met opportunity? Did you take it?
Yes. I was prepared for a life-changing event. I took the opportunity to move to a state I was unfamiliar with and made it work. We are thriving; we have no debt, we own our home and have retired, we have erased all toxic waste and people from our lives. It can be done.
In a room full of people, who are you looking for?
I look for my sister. Not so much because I miss her, I just want to show off.
What is the most impactful, published piece of writing you have read?
(this could be a book, a poem, an article, a study, etc.)
Erma Bombeck her last book before she died.
When I am self-loathing, I tend to…
I don’t self-loathe, but I do get exceedingly angry, so I will sleep.
When I am self-loving, I tend to…
I like to cook, garden, and be creative.
If you had endless amounts of talent and skill, what would you want to be famous or known for?
I would like to be famous for accidentally curing all types of cancer.
It would have to be an accident because I’m not a left-brain thinker. I would win the Nobel prize, and everyone who thought less of me would get an invitation. I would not acknowledge any of them.
How does the best relationship in your life make you feel?
I have a best friend who lives overseas. We worked at the same place. She was on an extended vacation when I started, and everything I did was compared to her, and she did things. I hated her even before I met her. When she returned, she invited me for a drink after work. We spent the afternoon in a bar shooting tequila and laughing, and we have been inseparable ever since. For almost 40 years, we have never had a dispute, not one. She is the other half of my soul. I could not survive without her
Feel? She makes me whole. Level calm. She would help me bury the bodies.
When do you feel most inspired?
I feel inspired in the mornings. I can’t wait for the sun to rise. Before the day is all used up, I erase all that happened yesterday and promise hope.
What is something that your inner child needs to hear from you?
My inner child has heard from me already that I had a right to be born.
What is something that your future self needs to hear from you?
I’ll be missed terribly.
Do you ever wonder what your life would be like if you had made a different decision, and do you wish you had?
Nope. I would live my life the exact same way. I love my life.
If money were no object, what is one thing you would have an unlimited supply of?
Gummy bears.
What is the most predictable thing about you?
What pisses me off.
What is the most unexpected thing that has ever happened to you?
Soooo many. How many famous people I’ve met, how many times I’ve come close to death, how hard I can punch, I know how to weld, how to throw an axe with dead-accurate accuracy, I know how to neuter any male.
Describe a time that you were in awe of your own courage or bravery:
I faced down a tiger and helped replace his fangs.
BONUS: Tell me something good.
I look like a fairy queen. I am ALWAYS happy, and people say I’m very funny and easy to be around. I guess I am. I try not to be a stranger, and I like to help people. I like people, I find them fascinating. I can do just about anything I put my mind to. I never see failure, I see lessons instead, and hope.
