If you had an extra hour each day, what would you do with it?

I feel like I do have an extra hour each day. I don’t feel crammed or overwhelmed because I don’t work well like that. I don’t need the extra hour. I need the extra creativity.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?

That our childhood traumas and beliefs affect how we feel about money. Have abandonment issues? You’ll believe that money will leave you.

What is the worst piece of advice you have ever received?

Basically, everything else that comes out of people’s mouths.

When have you felt most accepted?

I don’t struggle with self-confidence. I love myself so damn much. As long as I feel good internally, I kind of don’t care what others think.

When have you felt most supported?

In my current relationship. He has allowed me to lean into my softer, feminine side, which is hard when you’re a boss ass bitch. We tend to be more masculine (don’t let anyone help, never ask for help, expect people to read our minds, etc.). But real support comes in when you let yourself be soft. When you allow yourself to receive.

Is there anything you are avoiding?

Sometimes I think I run from expansion, in terms of my career.

Have you ever confronted a fear? How did it go?

I think first, you have to recognize when the thing coming up is based around fear. We get so comfortable with chaos, or mediocrity, that change feels scary - even when it’s for the better. Recognize that the fear is rooted in your discomfort. And then do it anyway.

What is one promise that you have kept to yourself?

To always be true to myself. Speak my mind and be authentic.

How do you cope with stress?

I will isolate. Go for a walk. A drive. Think it out. Write it down. I do a lot of self-analyzing so I can work through it.

What is a moment you are most proud of?

Listening to everyone’s opinions about me being a romance writer and doing it anyway.

How do you celebrate yourself?

Still working on this one….

What is something you feel like you are inherently worthy of?

I am inherently worthy of success. Of having obscene amounts of money. Of being happy.

When was the last time you changed your mind?

At lunch, deciding what to eat.

What does being true to yourself mean?

It means knowing what makes you tick. Knowing what brings you peace, joy, and comfort, and prioritizing that. Nothing feels worse than making yourself uncomfortable so that someone else can be comfy. Fuck all that.

When do you feel in control?

I have a good balance between recognizing what I can control and what isn’t a part of that. Control is also learning to let go.

Finish this sentence: It’s my life and…

I deserve all of my desires.
