#371. leaving behind a marriage, alcohol, a life and finding freedom

Age: 54

Relationship Status: Happily taken

Occupation: Midlife Transformation Coach

Income: Six-figure business owner (scaling with intention)

Astrological Sign: Scorpio

If you had an extra hour each day, what would you do with it?I wouldn’t try to “do more.” I’d slow down. Walk, surf, or sit with my thoughts without trying to optimize them.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?“If it’s important to you, you’ll find a way. If not, you’ll find an excuse.” That one cut through every story I was hiding behind.

What is the worst piece of advice you have ever received?“Stay. It will get better.” Sometimes staying is just fear dressed up as loyalty.

When have you felt most accepted? When I stopped performing and someone still chose me.

When have you felt most supported? When I made bold, uncomfortable decisions and didn’t get talked out of them.

Is there anything you are avoiding?Scaling my business more than I feel safe to. Not because I can’t, but because it requires a new level of visibility and responsibility.

Have you ever confronted a fear? How did it go?Yes, leaving my marriage, leaving alcohol, leaving the life I built. Every time, it felt like breaking… and then it became freedom.

What is one promise that you have kept to yourself? To not abandon myself again. No matter how uncomfortable the truth is.

What is one promise that you have kept to someone else?To show up fully, even when it would’ve been easier to check out.

How do you cope with stress?Movement, sunlight, journaling, and getting brutally honest about what’s bothering me.

What is a moment you are most proud of?Walking away from a life that looked “successful” but didn’t feel like mine.

How do you celebrate yourself?Quietly. Through experiences: a surf session, a Bruno Mars Concert, a sunset, a moment where I realize I built this life.

What is something that you feel like you have to earn?Rest. I still catch myself believing I need to justify it.

What is something you feel like you are inherently worthy of?Freedom. Not someday. Now.

When was the last time you changed your mind?My mindset around money. I spent years living in scarcity. I was convinced I had to hustle and suffer for every dollar. I’m done with that story. Abundance is a choice, and I finally chose it.

Is there anything you wish you could take back? No. Even the messy parts gave me clarity I couldn’t have gotten any other way.

What does being true to yourself mean?Making decisions that align with who I am now and not who I used to be or who others expect.

When do you feel in control? When I’m grounded in my body and not outsourcing my decisions.

When do you feel out of control? When I start chasing outcomes instead of staying anchored in my process.

Finish this sentence: It’s my life and…I’m done shrinking it to make other people comfortable.

BONUS: Tell me something good.I built a life I used to only visualize, and I’m still expanding it.
