If you had an extra hour each day, what would you do with it?
Ride my horse.
What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
When I focused on one thing, I found I was much more profitable than when I had several things to focus on.
What is the worst piece of advice you have ever received?
You have a reputation to worry about here. People are watching.
When have you felt most accepted?
On road trips, in other states, where no one knows me or has any idea who I am.
When have you felt most supported?
In times of emergency, when I needed something. In the country, people just show up with no expectations.
Is there anything you are avoiding?
Paperwork. I hate it.
Have you ever confronted a fear? How did it go?
All the time. It always tends to go way better than it will in my mind.
What is one promise that you have kept to yourself?
To keep ranching and not allow anyone to pull me away from this dream.
What is one promise that you have kept to someone else?
I tend to always keep my promises. I suppose it’s showing up. If I say I’m going to do it, I do it. If I say I’ll be there, you can count on me to be there. Every time.
How do you cope with stress?
I’m Gen X; we were built for it. I suppose I thrive in it. In an emergency, I bring order and organization to the chaos until it’s straightened out. I am calm as it gets.
What is a moment you are most proud of?
Every year on Labor Day weekend, watching my horses perform and make their riders look good!
How do you celebrate yourself?
Shopping and travel. I can always find ways to reward myself; I love travel, rest, and relaxation.
What is something that you feel like you have to earn?
The ability to slow down.
What is something you feel like you are inherently worthy of?
Success.
When was the last time you changed your mind?
Yesterday.
Is there anything you wish you could take back?
My last relationship.
What does being true to yourself mean?
Not compromising my standards and goals in life.
When do you feel in control?
When things are going right… which is a complete farce.
When do you feel out of control?
When there are too many balls in the air.
Finish this sentence: It’s my life and…
I own all of my actions. All of the time.
BONUS: Tell me something good.
After several years of being single and not seeing the light in my business affairs, etc., I can finally see the light. I am in my best self now, and I am confident in myself and where I am going.
