What is the most important part of your daily routine?

Skincare! I love washing my face & body and feeling clean. I accomplish more when I feel clean.

What is your current happiness most dependent on?

How people treat me. Coworkers, friends, family.

What do you wish you were less reliant on?

Other people’s opinions about me… I care way too much about how others perceive me, and it affects how I approach relationships GREATLY.

When do you question yourself?

All the time. I don’t really know what I’m doing and I don’t know what I want to do in the future.

What is something that has positively impacted how you perceive your self-worth?

Leaving my hometown! Moving away from family and deconstructing the religious and other beliefs I was raised in has been the greatest thing for my mental health.

What is something you have forgiven yourself for?

Not having a relationship with my dad in my teenage years. I did what was best for me.

What is something you have forgiven someone else for?

A friend who sat me down to discuss my self-destructive behaviors. At the time, I felt judged and alienated, but now I don’t subscribe to that lifestyle anymore and am a much better version of myself because of it.

How do you ground/center yourself?

Going on a drive, listening to Lizzy McAlpine, Hozier, Suki Waterhouse, Bon Iver, Julien Baker.

What is one thing that helped you through your most difficult time?

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy!

Have you ever felt like the best version of yourself? When?

Yes!! Right now!

What is something you fundamentally disagree with?

Telling a child they will burn in hell for eternity if they don’t believe a very specific set of beliefs and live a very specific type of lifestyle.

What is something you know for sure?

That I will be okay and that I will land on my feet.

What are three of your non-negotiables in romantic relationships?

1.      No yelling or verbal abuse

2.     Exclusivity

3.     Similar core values/beliefs

When do you feel most comfortable in your own skin?

When I’m taking a hot bath with a good book or TV show/movie on. Or when I shower with the lights off.

Have you ever been in awe of something/someone? When?

My wonderful, beautiful, kind, amazing, imperfectly, perfect partner! Every time he walks in the door.

What is the best (physical/material) gift you have ever received?

My dad paid off a big chunk of my student loans…using his inheritance from my grandma. Is that physical/material? Otherwise, it's probably my record player.

What is one thing you wish you had said ‘yes’ to in the past?

Hmmm. I wish I had broken up with my ex when my friend begged me to; it cost me that friendship and a big chunk of college when I could’ve been pouring into my friendships instead of that relationship.

What is one thing you will always say ‘no’ to in the future?

Picking up a catering shift on a Sunday. I don’t wish working on a Sunday on my worst enemy.

What do you believe is your most attractive quality?

Despite the adversities I've faced, I am a very resilient, uplifting, and positive person.

What/who do you want to be when you grow up?

I want to be someone people look up to and admire. As for my career, I have no idea!!! I don’t even know if I want to be a mom.

BONUS: Tell me something good.

A few things: I got a pap smear and flu shot today, I’m doing my first reformer pilates class this weekend, and I’m going to a Green Day concert right after!
