What is the most important part of your daily routine?
Making a coffee and sitting outside with my dog is the one moment I don’t think about anyone else, work, etc.
What is your current happiness most dependent on?
How well I’m reaching my goals. I’ve always been the type of person who gets what I want (with hard work), but I move on to the next without celebrating the prior. Not very good at embracing the present.
What do you wish you were less reliant on?
Tobacco and approval from others.
When do you question yourself?
In relationships and dating, I always feel like I am the best person when I’m single and carefree. Maybe I’ve just dated the wrong people, but I tend to feel dragged down and get resentful. I never really saw the value in constantly worrying about someone else.
What is something that has positively impacted how you perceive your self-worth?
My success.
What is something you have forgiven yourself for?
Not keeping up with friends as much as I should have in the past. I always said I was “too busy” – which, yeah, as adults – we all are. I follow up way more often now.
What is something you have forgiven someone else for?
Dying.
How do you ground/center yourself?
Long drives with the windows down and the music blasting.
What is one thing that helped you through your most difficult time?
Staying busy. Not the healthiest method at times – but it works.
Have you ever felt like the best version of yourself? When?
Honestly, when I turned 30, I felt like a new world opened up for me, and I am loving life right now.
What is something you fundamentally disagree with?
The ban on abortion.
What is something you know for sure?
I suck at math.
What are three of your non-negotiables in romantic relationships?
Communication
Compatible Intimacy
Financially smart/stable (no, this does not mean you need to pay for my shit – handle your own)
When do you feel most comfortable in your own skin?
Ever since I got covered in tattoos, I feel the most beautiful and comfortable in my skin.
Have you ever been in awe of something/someone? When?
Dennis Rodman, when he married himself.
What is the best (physical/material) gift you have ever received?
I remember being really psyched about my orange ENV phone back in the day. Let’s go with that.
What is one thing you wish you had said ‘yes’ to in the past?
It's not exactly “one” thing, but I wish I had said yes to invites from friends more often. I can self-isolate a lot.
What is one thing you will always say ‘no’ to in the future?
Tasks that do not fall under my job description.
What do you believe is your most attractive quality?
My humor.
What/who do you want to be when you grow up?
I honestly love where I’m at now. There is no pressure to be something else at this current moment.
BONUS: Tell me something good.
I plan on having a fat margarita after work today.
