What is your first thought every morning?

Coffee and my dog. They both motivate me to start my day.

What is something you do solely for you?

I watch trashy reality tv. It’s my guilty pleasure.

What is something you dread?

The day I have to put my sweet dog down. She’s 12 years old, so I know it’s coming soon.

What is something you are looking forward to?

The day that I live just for myself. When I can do what I want, when I want and how I want.

What is something you regret investing in financially?

My vocational schooling. I don’t even use it. I’m in a completely different field.

What is something you regret investing in emotionally?

Every relationship I’ve ever been in (current one included). They have all been draining and emotionally abusive.

What are three things you think are absolutely worth the investment?

(financially, emotionally, or time/energy-wise)

  1. My Dog

  2. My Dog

  3. And My Dog

When do you feel most creative?

I don’t think I’ve ever been a creative person.

How often do you compare yourself to others? When?

Everyday. I look at social media and wish I had that life.

What is one thing you’d like to thank your past self for?

Thank you for giving me a sense of humor. That’s what got me through the hard times of dealing with my abusive mother.

What is one thing you believe about your future self?

I believe my future self isn’t going to care what people think of me. I can’t wait to reach that.

What is one thing you learned in childhood that you have now had to unlearn in adulthood?

That family is first. I finally broke free of that, and I now, get to enjoy my chosen family.

Have you ever felt pure joy? Once When?

They day I adopted my dog. She’s given me unconditional love ever since that day.

What is something that would feel really good to get off your chest?

That I don’t ever regret not having children, so please stop asking me.

What is one interaction that changed your life?

When my 5th grade teacher taught me how to play chess. That was the day I found out it’s possible for someone to care and want better for me.

What is something you want to give up?

Smoking. I regret starting every day. One day I’ll get there. ( I hope)

What is something you want to take up?

Painting. Just to be able to create art. Even if I’m not great at it.

What do you believe is a universal truth?

That this is it. This is our only time to enjoy our life here on Earth. When we die, it’s over.

BONUS: Tell me something good.

I think I have a way of making people laugh, and hopefully, it brightens their day.
