What is your first thought every morning?

Lord, give me patience.

What is something you do solely for you?

Consistently workout every morning. Lifting heavy weights, headphones on and outside world shut off. This is on my schedule like any other appointment first & foremost as a commitment to ME.

What is something you dread?

The day one of my parents pass away. It makes me want to hyperventilate when I  think about it.

What is something you are looking forward to?

Working less and traveling more.

When do you feel most accomplished?

When I know I’ve made a difference in someone’s life by making them feel better about themselves.

What is something you regret investing in financially?

An expensive luxury car (which I no longer own).  Now, I have a less luxurious car that is paid off and I have more cash to spend on memories.

What is something you regret investing in emotionally?

Staying in bad relationships for too long and not leaving the relationship immediately when I saw red flags.

What are three things you think are absolutely worth the investment?

(financially, emotionally, or time/energy-wise)

  1. My physical health.

  2.  A therapist or counselor.  There is no shame in wanting to better yourself for yourself and others.

  3.  A plane ticket to somewhere in the world you’ve always wanted to experience.

When do you feel most creative?

When I’m left alone in quiet to do my work where I can freely let my talent flow. When someone says, “Make me feel beautiful…I trust you.”

How often do you compare yourself to others? When?

Occasionally, professionally when I feel like I could be better or do more.

Social media can grab hold of your insecurities if you LET it.

What is one thing you’d like to thank your past self for?

Never giving up on the things I felt passionate about even when others told me it was impossible. I wouldn’t be where I am today if I listened to the negative chatter of others.

What is one thing you believe about your future self?

She will be a safe space for others and a person her younger self needed.

What is one thing you learned in childhood that you have now had to unlearn in adulthood?

That you have to create the life for yourself that you want without guilt regardless of what it looks like to others. It is okay to make a life that looks different than the one your parents/family expect you to live.

Have you ever felt pure joy? When?

My wedding day.

What is something that would feel really good to get off your chest?

I’ve tried for many years to have a positive loving relationship with my stepdaughter (in adulthood as well) and it hasn’t been reciprocated. Now, she says she wants to have a better relationship with me, but I’ve tried for so many years that I don’t trust her and quite frankly I don’t have the energy to give her my trust anymore. It’s been painful and hurts.

When do you feel most in your feminine energy?

When I don’t have to make all the decisions or plans.

What is one interaction that changed your life?

Hearing the stories from an 85-year-old immigrant who came to the USA on a boat at the age of 19 and left his country without his family for a better life in America. The tears in his eyes tell the pain in his heart.

What is something you want to give up?

The weight of others’ opinions.

What is something you want to take up?

Reformer Pilates.

What do you believe is a universal truth?

We are all worthy of love regardless of what that looks like to others.

BONUS: Tell me something good.

The one thing I believe expands our hearts and minds is traveling. Learning something new about another culture is exciting and life changing. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
