“Thank God” and then I check my email.

Luxury Shopping and travel.

Answering my son's call (wondering if he is high).

What is something you are looking forward to?

Having my son be healthy and sober.

When do you feel most accomplished?

At work.

What is something you regret investing in financially?

Buying my ex-husband a car.

What is something you regret investing in emotionally?

A romantic relationship with a married man.

What are three things you think are absolutely worth the investment?

(financially, emotionally, or time/energy-wise)

  1. Emotionally - therapy.

  2. Energetically - taking time to listen to your body and maintaining a good doctor.

  3. Financially - investing in retirement.

When do you feel most creative?

At work, when I’m tackling operational challenges.

How often do you compare yourself to others? When?

All the time. I compare myself to my friends who have raised great kids, who have gone onto become successful adults. My son is struggling and hasn’t found his way.

Having beat the odds and made a good life for myself. For breaking generational curses.

What is one thing you believe about your future self?

It’s going to be alright!

What is one thing you learned in childhood that you have now had to unlearn in adulthood?

I have had to unlearn that family always come first and before anyone else. As an adult, my friends have often done and meant more to me than my siblings and sometimes more than my parents.

Have you ever felt pure joy? When?

Yes, after childbirth, when I first saw my son.

What is something that would feel really good to get off your chest?

It would feel good if I could tell my ex-husband, I was never “in love “with him. I wanted a family and stability. I was never faithful to him.

When do you feel most in your feminine energy?

During sex!

What is one interaction that changed your life?

Losing my first husband to cancer. He was only 25 years old.

What is something you want to give up?

Impulsive spending.

What is something you want to take up?

Swimming.

What do you believe is a universal truth?

God is in control. Faith and worry do not live together.
