What is your first thought every morning?
I try to practice gratitude when I wake up. After that my first thought is…“What is my schedule for today?”
What is something you do solely for you?
Walk outside. There is nothing like taking time for yourself to connect with nature, friends, listen to podcasts, etc. It always makes me happy.
What is something you dread?
A full day of work meetings!!
What is something you are looking forward to?
I feel like the best is still yet to come in my life, so I am looking forward to learning what that is.
When do you feel most accomplished?
I feel most accomplished when I lead with confidence and know I’m making an impact in someone else’s life—whatever that means—it can be big or small.
What is something you regret investing in financially?
The years of investing in nutritionists, fad diets, etc. that never worked and only fueled my insecurities.
What is something you regret investing in emotionally?
Toxic co-workers.
What are three things you think are absolutely worth the investment?
(financially, emotionally, or time/energy-wise)
Daily Movement- whether that be a workout, walk, etc.
Healthy, whole organic foods- we have to nourish our bodies to be the best versions of ourselves
3. Relationships that fill your cup. The quality of your life is about the people in it
*Always invest in yourself to be the best version for you and others.
When do you feel most creative?
When I am cooking from scratch. Cooking for me is like a science experiment: seeing what works and what doesn’t and realizing what you can create all by yourself!
Also styling my outfits. It’s fun to mix and match for different events or occasions.
How often do you compare yourself to others? When?
I used to compare myself all the time. I rarely do now unless it is someone I look up to and want to emulate. It is a waste of time otherwise, and I wish more people knew that. You are on your own path for a reason, it will all make sense one day.
What is one thing you’d like to thank your past self for?
Being naive early on in my career led me to many opportunities I may not have been privy to. That mindset led me to take risks and put myself out there early on.
What is one thing you believe about your future self?
I believe I will continue to be a good wife, mom, family member, and friend. The relationships around me are the root of who I am and my beliefs- that won’t change.
What is one thing you learned in childhood that you have now had to unlearn in adulthood?
So many things…
I grew up in a wealthy family, and I feel like that was a lot of my identity growing up. When I grew up and formed my own life, I realized that shit doesn’t matter! Focusing on being a good person and your authentic self is way more interesting anyway!
Have you ever felt pure joy? When?
Yes, when I married my best friend, there will never be a moment again in our lives when our family, friends, and everyone we love most are in one, single room.
What is something that would feel really good to get off your chest?
My husband and I have been married for a few years now, and people cannot stop giving me their opinions on when we should have babies and frankly making me feel useless for not having children yet. Little do they know we have been trying for 8 months and it weighs on me every day that I’m not pregnant yet. God has a plan, and those who continue to drag me with their opinions certainly aren’t God. ;)
When do you feel most in your feminine energy?
When I get dressed up for an event and have my hair and makeup done. Wearing something I feel confident in is worth a million bucks and I am fully in my feminine energy in those moments! Also, girl time with my best friends- enjoying endless gossiping, trash tv, and wine.
What is one interaction that changed your life?
When I went out on a whim to meet with an Executive at a company I was working for. I asked the CEO to be my mentor and in turn, got the opportunity of a lifetime that changed not only the trajectory of my career but my life as she saw something in me I didn’t yet.
What is something you want to give up?
Excessive drinking…I work in marketing, so it is very social, and travel is constant. With that comes a lot of social drinking. It is not healthy and does not help me be a better version of myself.
What is something you want to take up?
I want to learn more about real estate and investing opportunities. Additionally, I want to be more involved in giving back to causes I really care about, which are women in business advocacy and mental health.
What do you believe is a universal truth?
God (or something greater than us) has a plan, and manifestation is real.
