A NEW SET OF QUESTIONS IS HERE (PART 6)

For the first time ever, I will be publishing two sets of questions at once: one set every morning and the second set in the afternoon. This is the 6th set of questions, and the 7th will be published tomorrow…stay tuned!

Age: 32

Relationship Status: Dating and having so much fun!

Occupation: Entrepreneur, Self-Development Coach, Author & Founder of TLD HER (hi!)

Income: Totally depends (life of an entrepreneur).

Astrological Sign: Scorpio Sun, Aries Rising, Aquarius Moon (Scorpio Stellium + 8th House Stellium…IYKYK)

Describe your ideal morning:

I live my ideal morning every day! I wake up between 6:30-7:00, put on my fluffy robe, make my bed, brush my teeth and wash my face right away (collecting small wins before the day begins). Then I have my coffee and a glass of water with celtic salt and sit on my couch – sometimes I do red light therapy, meditation, or facetime my niece and nephew. By the end of my first coffee, it’s time for breakfast…I just recently became a breakfast person after hating it for years and, unfortunately, it has changed my energy levels for the better. After breakfast, I workout and then take my first client or call at 10:00.

What is the last thing you think about before going to sleep?

Right before bed and when I am in the shower is when I do my best business thinking (TLD HER came to me at 2am), so I allow myself to have some large-scale ‘dreaming’ (pun intended). If I can’t sleep, I do a meditation and try to empty my brain a bit or go over a series of good memories so I can have good dreams.

If you could talk openly about any of the following ‘taboo’ subjects at a dinner party: politics, religion, money, or sex, what is one question you would pose to the table?

I do talk about all of these things, all of the time. I honestly believe that the things we have deemed ‘taboo’ are the ones we need to have the most open conversations about. I’m also a 5-placement Scorpio, and I love talking about things that are usually kept in the dark.

What is something you wish were taught in school?

FINANCIAL LITERACY. I moved to New York when I was 19, and I didn’t even know how to fill out a check properly. I think education is monumentally important, but I do believe our current system is broken – school in the US is not meant to set us up for life success, it’s meant to keep us on a linear path that promotes capitalism.

How do you define personal happiness?

How free I feel = how happy I am. I want options, and I want to do whatever I want, whenever I want, with whomever I want.

When do you feel most helpless?

When I cannot ease someone else’s emotional pain.

What is something you are nostalgic about?

Not having bills to pay.

When does, or will, your life feel complete?

My life is always complete and evolving.

What is something you have forgiven, but will never forget?

Everything. I can forgive, for the sake of acceptance, but I will never forget, and I don’t believe it’s necessary. I can move forward, but I cannot unsee what someone is capable of…and I’m okay with that – it shows me where discernment and boundaries are needed.

What is one decision that seemed small at the time, but completely changed the direction or course of your life?

I have met some of the most important people in my life by total chance, so I would say any of those instances when I went out, thinking it was just another night, and happened to be in the right place at the right time.

What is something that comes easily to you?

Romantic relationships. I have a very different perspective on love and relationships than most people do, and I think that is partially because I’ve always had good experiences. I’ve also had some insane experiences (ha), but none that have ever rattled me to the core of who I am. I have never sought serious relationships, nor is my goal to get married, but love always finds me, and I accept every relationship for exactly what it is.

What is the hardest thing you’ve ever done?

Made it to the other side of depression alive (literally).

Where is your favorite place on Earth?

New York Fucking City.

If you woke up tomorrow and were in charge of EVERYTHING, what would be the first thing you would do to make the world a better place?

Everyone would have a home to live in and access to fresh, clean water. I think there is great power in giving someone a no-strings-attached foundation and allowing them to build a life on it, rather than the other way around.

Finish this sentence: money can’t buy you happiness, but it can afford you…

Options. Money affords you options and thus, freedom, if you choose the right options. I have seen plenty of examples of people with a lot of money who are miserable. I have also seen examples of people with a lot of money who seem to be doing it ‘right’. Money makes you more of who you are, and it doesn’t have an inherent energy – every person connects their own personal energy to whatever money they do or don’t have.

What is the best thing you have been gifted or purchased on your own within the last year?

My coffee machine was a birthday gift from a man friend who knows how much I love my coffee – I miss it when I’m having coffee somewhere other than my apartment.

If you could give a woman who is 10 years younger than you a single piece of advice, what would it be?

My best advice to someone who is 22 would be: learn how to pivot. There are going to be so many things over the course of the next decade that don’t go the way you planned for them to; don’t get bogged down, get creative.

And have some fucking fun! I am so glad that I spent most Tuesday nights out until 2am with my friends at 22 years old – do it now, it is so specific to this moment in your life, you will naturally slow down.

Is there anyone who knows everything about you?

No, but my best friend of 30 years is pretty close.

So is my sister… but a girl needs a few secrets.

If you knew that life was short, what is one thing you would do right now?

Exactly what I am doing – I am maxing this shit out, fearlessly.

If you knew that life was long, what is one thing you would do right now?

I do think life is long. I’ve been here for 32 years, and I have felt every moment of it. Being present makes time feel slowed down. I’d like to get to the end of my life, however long or short, and think I had more enjoyable moments than not. Life is complex, I’m not trying to simplify it, I’m trying to make the most of the human experience – even when it gets weird.

BONUS: Tell me something good.

The Confidence Club is officially open for enrollment, and we start on May 1st! There will be some never-before-published interviews within the club AND exclusive interviews with super successful women who have so much wisdom to share.

Also, I love these new sets of questions, and I am so excited for you to read all of these new interviews.

Lastly, I love you! Thank you for making this possible – these interviews and my relationship with all of you bring so much joy to my life.
