A 2nd NEW SET OF QUESTIONS IS HERE (PART 7)

For the first time ever, I will be publishing two sets of questions at once: one set every morning and the second set in the afternoon - this is the 7th set of questions.

Age: 32

Relationship Status: Dating and having so much fun!

Occupation: Entrepreneur, Self-Development Coach, Author & Founder of TLD HER (me, again!)

Income: Totally depends (life of an entrepreneur).

Astrological Sign: Scorpio Sun, Aries Rising, Aquarius Moon

(Scorpio Stellium + 8th House Stellium…IYKYK)

What is something you look forward to every day?

My coffee. Some nights, I go to bed thinking about how delicious it’s going to be to wake up and have my hot cup of coffee.

Describe how your year thus far is going, using only three words:

There is momentum.

What is the most valuable thing you have earned?

The trust of my friends, clients, and this community. I take great pride in being reliable and a safe, vaulted space for others.

What is the most precious thing you have lost?

I have experienced a tremendous amount of familial loss in the last few years, and that has felt heavy. Grief is such a specific experience, and while I think I am someone who absorbs death well, losing multiple family members in a short period of time does give a certain kind of perspective.

Fill in the blank: if loving _____ is wrong, I don’t want to be right.

Democracy.

Is there a moment in your life where preparation has met opportunity? Did you take it?

I feel like my entire life and career have been a series of moments where preparation has opportunity, and I am happy to report that I have taken them all. I think one of the things that has kept me in entrepreneurship as long as I have been is that I seek opportunities and execute quickly. There is no life without trial and error.

In a room full of people, who are you looking for?

My siblings, cousins, or best friends.

What is the most impactful, published piece of writing you have read?

(this could be a book, a poem, an article, a study, etc.)

“You Can Heal Your Life” by Louise Hay quite literally changed my approach to life and the world. I read it in my very early 20’s, and it was the first I had ever heard of affirmations or intentional positive self-talk – it set me on an unexpected, but wonderful trajectory.

When I am self-loathing, I tend to…

Isolate, stop eating full meals, and overthink.

When I am self-loving, I tend to…

Get outside, get creative, get social, and live more in my body than my brain.

If you had endless amounts of talent and skill, what would you want to be famous or known for?

I would want to be widely known for exactly what I’m doing now: curating community, bringing women together, and writing.

It would also be cool to have an incredible voice or to be an infamous activist.

How does the best relationship in your life make you feel?

Totally accepted, funny, loved, loving, completely comfortable.

When do you feel most inspired?

When I spend long periods of time alone – my thoughts need time to marinate.

What is something that your inner child needs to hear from you?

I know you feel so responsible for everything and everyone, but it’s okay to be a kid and have fun.

What is something that your future self needs to hear from you?

I believe in everything you have and will do.

Do you ever wonder what your life would be like if you had made a different decision, and do you wish you had?

I sometimes wonder what my life would be like if I had taken a more traditional path; finished college, gotten a 9-5 job, married my ex-boyfriend(s), had children…

I think when you do things that go against the status quo, you have moments when you think your life would be easier if you had gone with the current. However, that thought usually ends with the conclusion that it all sounds boring to me, and I’m glad I’ve done exactly what I have wanted to do.

If money were no object, what is one thing you would have an unlimited supply of?

If money were no object, I would have a full-time chauffeur – that would be my ultimate luxury. But if we’re talking about an unlimited supply of a physical/material item, it would be 1-liter, European glass water bottles.

What is the most predictable thing about you?

That I will always have a dinner reservation (maybe multiple), and that I will always be chewing gum and have some in my bag for others.

What is the most unexpected thing that has ever happened to you?

My first bout of depression, when I was a freshman in college, came on quickly and without warning. My behavior and feelings were so out of character that I didn’t recognize myself, and it took a really long time to even identify what was going on because of it.

Describe a time that you were in awe of your own courage or bravery:

I was diagnosed with a multitude of life-threatening food allergies when I was 11 months old, and I have basically been in fight or flight since. Allergies weren’t nearly as common in the 90’s as they are now, and it made life seem very scary; if I touched a door handle and rubbed my eye, I could die, if everyone opened their bags of peanuts at the same time on an airplane, I could die…try explaining this to a 5-year-old. That said, I have never let my fear get in the way of living.

I remember a specific moment, being in a bathroom stall in my middle school, at 14 years old, and calming myself down from a panic attack/ taking Benadryl for a reaction my anxiety had induced. I had a conversation with myself in that moment: I could live life like this, or I could do my best on my end to protect myself and believe that the rest would be taken care of. I chose the latter, and it is the bravest thing I’ve ever done, especially at such a young age.

I have always known that life can be short or fleeting, I have always known that life is fragile and precious, and I have always known that bad things can happen to good people. I have also always known that life is meant to be lived, even when fear is present.

BONUS: Tell me something good.

Spring is springing, and everyone seems to be in a good mood because of it!

Highly recommend getting outside and having some fun.
