What is the first thing you do when you wake up?
Scroll on my phone, cuddle my girlfriend.
Have you ever felt genuine fulfillment? When?
Whenever I hang out with my friends, I’m always filled with such joy. Sometimes I realize how happy I am in the moment and appreciate it, other times I reflect on it afterwards and realize how lucky I am to be able to have such good friends (in walking distance too).
What is your most repetitive, negative thought?
I won’t be successful, or I’ll end up in a career that I hate but can never escape.
What is your most repetitive, positive thought?
I’m so lucky! I love my friends and am so lucky to know such genuine people.
What is one thing that surprised you about adulthood?
How constant change is. I’m still in college, but I assumed that post-grad, I would just find a job, live somewhere, and just live life as is. But as post-grad is nearing, I’m realizing how people change so much after college, and what you do changes - nothing is ever really set in stone.
What are three things you want to put every woman onto?
A good-ass, comfy pair of headphones.
Platonic Love.
Reading for enjoyment.
Rank the following from most to least important:
money, food, sex, love, and laughter (feel free to explain or don’t).
Food (I love love love food), love, laughter, money, sex.
When do you feel most like yourself?
Everyday. I find it extremely hard to hide who I am and the things I feel, and I’ve been told by multiple people that I’m really easy to read. (It can be a double-edged sword).
What is the best compliment someone has ever given you?
That they love eating meals with me. Once, after brunch my friend and I had together one day, she said this to me, and I’m just so happy I could make food and eating a positive experience for her, and it just warmed my heart so much knowing I had that impact.
How do you feel about falling in love?
It’s so scary!!! I’m in love right now but it’s absolutely terrifying knowing that I love someone and someone loves me. Also, falling in love is completely different than staying in love. Falling in love is so wonderful and I hope everybody gets to experience it, but staying in love requires so much patience, compromise, communication, and work. This is my first long-term relationship, and I didn’t realize everything that goes into keeping a strong and healthy relationship, but I love her and want to make it work.
What is one thing you’re sick of hearing?
“God has a plan.” I am personally not religious; my dad is, however, and sometimes he just slips this in during our conversation, and I am tired of hearing it. I’m glad he has religion, and something he strongly believes in, but when he says it, I just clock out of the conversation.
How often do you feel alone?
20% of the time. But being alone is separate from being lonely. I have a hard time differentiating the two. I used to hate being alone because I always felt alone, but since getting into a long-term relationship, I’ve realized that being alone is good and everybody should have their alone time.
What is one thing you hope everyone experiences in their lifetime?
Hope & Happiness. And learning a second language.
What is one thing you hope no one has to experience in their lifetime?
A parent who has a severe mental illness during your childhood.
What is the best decision you’ve ever made?
Being an RA (LOL). I’m saving so much money in college.
When do you feel most at ease?
When I get sucked into a book!
What does having a successful life mean to you?
Finding a career I don’t hate, and being able to live in a city I like, and having the money to eat out a lot. And being able to hang out with friends while also appreciating my alone time.
How often do you think about your body?
Everyday. I judge my body as well as others, I hate to admit that, and I hate that I judge other women based on physical appearances, but I do. Trying to be better though and remembering that being skinny does not equal happiness !!! And that I love my stomach, she does so much for me and I’m so lucky to have a healthy working stomach and body.
When do you ask for help?
I ask my friends and chatGPT for advice, frequently.
What is something you feel strongly about?
Alone time is a luxury. Don’t avoid it or take it for granted.
BONUS: Tell me something good.
I get to wake up every day and make myself a delicious caffeinated drink, which makes my mornings feel so nice and peaceful.
