What is the first thing you do when you wake up?
PRAY
Have you ever felt genuine fulfillment? When?
I am really not sure, honestly.
What is your most repetitive, negative thought?
I am not smart enough to do this.
What is your most repetitive, positive thought?
God is proud of me.
What is one thing that surprised you about adulthood?
Freedom is actually overwhelming.
What are three things you want to put every woman onto?
1. Trust in a higher being. For me, it’s God. Sometimes, it takes your darkest moments to form that connection. For me, it was my divorce. I had no control, so I had to trust in something bigger than me to carry me through…and we have been besties ever since (lol).
2. Get rid of guilt. It ruins everything!
3. Exercise makes everything better!
Rank the following from most to least important:
money, food, sex, love, and laughter (feel free to explain or don’t).
Love, laughter, money, food, and then sex (prob because I haven't had it in 5 years) lol
How has your relationship with your parents/ guardians changed in adulthood?
This is very complicated. My mother was a VERY polarizing person in my life. I was always afraid of her, and we never resolved our issues before she died. Unfortunately, our relationship never evolved.
When do you feel most like yourself?
When I am surrounded by my family, including my siblings and my children!
What is the best compliment someone has ever given you?
“You are an amazing mother.”
How do you feel about falling in love?
Nothing compares to being in love!
What is one thing you’re sick of hearing?
“That triggered me.”
How often do you feel alone?
Not very often, and I am physically alone a lot.
What is one thing you hope everyone experiences in their lifetime?
Unconditional love.
What is one thing you hope no one has to experience in their lifetime?
Loss of a child. Everything else is necessary.
What is the best decision you’ve ever made?
Being a stay-at-home mom!
When do you feel most at ease?
When I am by the ocean.
What does having a successful life mean to you?
Happy, healthy children. If the people in my life feel loved and cared for by me, then I feel very content, and that, I think, equates to a successful life.
How often do you think about your body?
Too often!
When do you ask for help?
When I am hosting a party at my house, it is impossible to do everything by yourself. You can’t prepare the decor, cook the meal, and be a good hostess without a little help.
What is something you feel strongly about?
That there is a lesson in almost everything!
BONUS: Tell me something good.
This life can be exactly what you want it to be!
